Before and After: Nails

People who know me long enough know my obsession with wanting to grow my nails to a decent length. Decent length being having visible white nails sticking out of the finger instead of the sad state where I chewed right into the pink bit of the nail. I finally got rid of the habit (sort of)

This took me 2 months to grow!

MY NAILS. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

MY NAILS GREW. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY.

Dream of 16 years, fulfilled. I raise my fist up in triumph.

Originally my plan was to also include pictures of how my hair looks like with and without styling. Unfortunately I seem to be having more success in taking bad shots than decent shots. It’s not the hair’s fault; it’s my unglam face with the weird expression. I’ll try my best to post up photos of it in the next entry.

Styling is surprisingly easy and tricky at the same time. The whole process takes about 5 minutes, with majority of the time spending on applying hair wax to my hair instead of the tweaking part even though that’s the hardest.

I’m trying to reduce the hair wax usage, I promise.

wow!! impressive. I’m an ex nail biter (for a week) and still eat my skin around the nails though.
2 months to achieve that length ?! your nails grow fast .
This motivates me to go forward.

Hi! Thanks for reading my blog <3

I wish you all the best! It's been 2 years since this post, and I will admit that while I've stopped biting regularly, I start biting my nails and the skin around it furiously once I get nervous (i.e. During exams, important events, rushing any sort of deadlines in general..) so.. LOLOL whoops. But once it's all over and I've calmed down, I've managed to grow them all back to a decent length. I find it a lot easier to maintain them at a very short length instead of the long nails shown in the photo above (because if it's too long, I love to pick at them, and then it will chip, and then I'll bite it off instead of using a nail clipper, and then, well, you know the chain reaction. Once you bite one, all the nails go LOL oTL)

My nails are now growing faster and healthier too once I started clipping them regularly! =) Again, I wish you all the best!! You can do it!
