Japan Trip: Elisabeth Gala Concert 2012

I took ages writing this out, even longer than my Swallowtail entry despite the former having a lot more content. Again please ignore all the bad English and lousy arranging of content. I have no energy to preview XD;

The main reason why Jasmine and I went to Japan this November was because of the (sort of) last minute notice that this year, in celebration of Takarazuka’s Way to 100th Anniversary, the fourth special concert will be an Elisabeth Gala concert featuring graduated troupe members who performed in previous Eisabeth performances.

(Photos are a mix of mine, and from the web which all belong to their respective owners.)

3rd trip to Swallowtail

Not writing out my trip in chronological order!

After reading this entry, I realised I sound quite “out of breath”. Forgive me. This is really a long entry XD; If I sound awkward here and there, just ignore it.

So the last time Jasmine and I went to Japan, we went to the butler cafe Swallowtail twice and got ourselves the member card. This time, we decided that we should put aside time to go to Swallowtail once again.

In our previous visits (I just realised I only wrote about our first visit to Swallowtail LOL. Opps) we felt that our footmen didn’t talk to us much. Well, the first footman “Daniel” tried his very best, but we were too nervous. Asahina was probably because he was too busy, being his last day and all. Can’t blame him really!

Tea Party with Aoki Misako

It’s really been a long while since I wore full out rori.

And I’m still trying to write my Japan trip entries LOL. I’ve failed so badly at writing entries for my previous trips, so I’m hoping that this one I’m able to write them all.

On the 20th November (Tue), a tea party with Kawaii Ambassador, Aoki Misako, was held in conjunction with the opening of Plaza Singapura’s JRunway, a select shop of Japanese fashion brands. My friends and I immediately RSVP-ed for it because this is such a rare chance!

Japan Loot Part 1 (Rori)

You know the usual. Come back from trip, you post photos of your loot.

Most of the time I fail to take pictures of my loot. This year for both of my trip to Japan and Hong Kong, I guai guai take pictures of my loot, but fail to post them due to laziness.

Now I guai guai post them at least even if I get too lazy to write my entries cough.

Handcarry + check in luggage for both of us

Handcarry + check in luggage for both of us

I think we handled this packing thing a lot better, but probably cus we just found out that ANA allows twice the usual baggage allowance hurhurhur. Next time if I ever sit ANA, I’m bringing two suitcases or something LOL.

Anyways, I only managed to sort out photos for my rori loot, so the first post will just be piccies of it. I’m quite surprised by my CC karma. While most of these things aren’t something I would die for, they are things that I’ve been wanting to try/have for a long while. So yey.

From left to right (links to random databases are on the items’ names if I can find them):

Angelic Pretty long sleeve Marching cutsew OP in navy – 8800 yen
For a long time, I really want to try something exactly like this, from the cut of the dress to the style. I’m really happy I found this. I don’t know about rori, but I would love to dress in a lot of red accents with this. I’ll be like some walking British flag or something LOL.

Alice and the Pirates Teufel von Hameln skirt in emerald – 9800 yen
I love gold accents, and I do like dark green shades. It’s natural I end up wanting a rori item in this colour scheme LOL. And I have been interested in a bit of an understated stripey look lately (ever since I got my understated stripey wallpaper room LOL) And it has pockets and an A-line cut. Buy!

Excentrique gold brocade skirt + matching corset – 5200 yen for skirt, 2300 yen for corset
I wanted a gold mini corset. I got it đŸ˜€ And then the skirt was cheap too. I take LOL.

Baby the Stars Shine Bright floral JSK in blue – 6800 yen
My preference for JSK cuts like these started with Baby surprisingly, considering that it doesn’t do much of these to begin with. This along with similar generic floral JSKs + the first edition of Stain Glass made me like Baby back then. Every time this is spotted in auctions, I always stop at the link and waver XD

Angelic Pretty Chess Chocolate Emblem Embroidery blouse in brown – 7800 yen
I want a brown blouse for my rori stuff, and finally finallllyyyyy I got it. Bonus: It’s chess choco! Perfect to match with my chess choco JSK!

Angelic Pretty Royal Chocolate crew socks in mint – 2500 yen

Innocent World Lidie OP in Black/Grey? (I can’t tell seriously) – 8800 yen
I don’t know what this series is until I did my research just a while ago, but I really want a dress like this for a loooong time too LOL. Something similar to the AP Marching OP. I don’t know if I have a thing for sailor collars or not, but to me I thought they look very modest and cute in a bit of a “school girl”-ish way, so I’ve really wanted to try wearing one. This was the cheapest among all the similar IW OPs scattered about in the various CCs!

Innocent World A-line skirt in bordeaux – 5800 yen
My dear MM skirt needs to take a break seriously. I’m getting way too fat for that, and if I wear it any more, either my stomach gets deformed, or the skirt busts. I think it’s time to find an alternative skirt for both of our sake LOL. This is seriously a good deal.

Moved house!

Moved in to my new home on the 23rd! I know pictures are in order, but not when it’s not er.. unpacked nicely yet XD I really do hope I could do a housewarming soonnnnn.

I like the change so far! It’s a lot cozier so I’m not afraid of being in the dark “alone”. I have been trying to train myself to get used to the dark while sleeping as well, but it’s sort of working and not working at the same time lolol.

For some reason even though my room has a hugeass window, plus it’s facing the same direction as my mum’s window, my room is almost always covered in shadows lol.

I love my room, though I really need a lot of adjusting and stuff to buy. I need a lot of those little containers for all the linglinglonglong. Nua-ing is not as easy as before since if I want the bed, I have to pull down the desk and blablablabla. Was hoping that after I’ve fully unpacked (clothes actually), I have space to sprawl on the floor to relax.

I’m trying to cultivate a healthier habit of not turning on the air conditioner 24/7, which it’s sort of working so far considering how cooling this place is. And the breeze is wonderful.

Downsizing from a double bed to a single bed is not as bad as my mother feared, but omg where do I put my plushies?! Currently they are sitting on the top of my hidden bed mechanism thingy, and the one hugeass plushie which I use as a replacement for my precious bolster (thrown away sob) is like thrown all about the room whenever the bed is up.

The few things I’m upset about my room is probably the incorrect measurements for my shelves, and the general fear of dropping anything liquidy on any of the flooring.. (cus you know, they’re brand new, and they absorb anything like whoa..)

Other than that I’m really just chilling in my room and slowly unpacking.

Sorry for the crappy entry haha. Will churn out better entries soon. Namely my entry of the Wao Live Tour, and my trip to Hong Kong!

Vague updates for the past 4 months

Officially gave up on finishing the entries for Japan (big surprise there) because the drafts disappeared on me.

Have also found the awesomness that is Canmake’s Gokunobi mascara (thanks Jasmine) and the Quick Lash Curl. Seriously, the mascara is so nice and natural, and the Quick Lash Curl, omg the Quick Lash Curl.

My lashes stay curled. Nothing can express how _________ I felt. HAHAHA IDK WHAT THAT MEANS

In this span of about 4-ish months, significant things has happened! (those who follow me on twitter probably know most of it though)

Japan Trip 2012 Day 2: Harajuku and Ikebukuro (Swallowtail Visit 1)

Hi guys, I’m really sick now. Sore throat, and potentially a flu or cold or something. I’m sneezing nonstop, and cue running nose. My eyes feel very hot. This is where I whine that I can’t get free strepsils and medication (delivered to my room) from my dad anymore LOL.

On to the long winded blabbering entry! I’m typing this in a very sick mood, so I might start typing nonsense, or simplifying things a lot. I trust that I will go into much greater detail when talking about this IRL, but for now bear with my entry.

And ya, you read the title right, we eventually went Swallowtail twice.

Japan Trip 2012 Day 1: Shinjuku

It has been somewhat of a common knowledge that Jasmine and I are quite pathetic when it comes to directions. Many a time we relied on other people (or cabs) to get to places. That’s why not many people trusted me even with a GPS nagivation system in my car, or how our friends (especially our Sparklies friends) were feeling that we’re gonna be doomed and get lost in Japan, stuck in the country, and sold off as soapland girls or something (thanks guys <3 it’s really nice to know you worry about us so much XD)

In our previous trip, we had Shu to guide us to places, ask for directions etc. This time, we’re on our owwwn.

Back home.

Complete with bad hair day (for every single day)

Complete with bad hair day (for every single day)

Hello! I am back from my Japan trip with Jasmine đŸ˜€

Aren’t you glad we made it back safely? XD /hopeless

There are so many things to write about, but I’m going to bring myself to write them in chronological order to make things neater. Granted, I could just skip to the more exciting bits, but where’s the fun in that /shot It’s definitely way easier if you could hear it from us personally, but I have a blog to maintain, and I shall write it here as well.

And here’s one final photo from me. The loot we brought back home. I’m glad I bought the weighing thingy from Ivory.

Why so suaaaaaay.

1. I have a limping dog.

For some reason, she started to limp and hopped about on 3 legs. It didn’t look like she was in any pain, and occasionally, I catch her walking on all 4 legs. It’s really not much of a problem (I hope), but it gets annoying when she doesn’t dare to climb down the stairs to do her business and ends up deciding that our bedroom doors/mum’s bed will be her new peeing spot.

She’s getting better now. She doesn’t limp now, but you can still see her favouring that leg. And the peeing thing.

She’s also quite a drama queen, so here’s a video of her doing a “look at me I very the ke lian ):” limp.

This was during the whole period where she climbed up the stairs to chase after my nugget meal, jumped up the bed for scratches and hugs, and jumped down the bed to look forlornly at my nugget meal on the desk. All on 4 legs. So really, her leg is fine (maybe just sensitive)

2. I have a broken doll hand.

The doll’s hands were wrapped together with the body, that means they weren’t individually wrapped up like what most would do ): I guess that’s why the fingers snapped. I don’t get it though. I’ve ordered from infinitidoll before, and they wrapped my girl body’s hands individually, so why didn’t they for this boy ):..

Also, one of his eye is smaller than his other eye. I’m sad. Am wondering if I should get someone to sand it open, but $$$$$ SOB.

I’m hoping for infinitidoll to send me a new spare hand.

3. I scratched my car.

I’m an idiot.

Thankfully, the damage wasn’t drastic, it’s not like the door couldn’t open up or you can see a huuuge dent or something. In fact, after scrapping away most of the concrete plaster off my car, you wouldn’t really notice it. Sort of. I guess. I don’t really want to send this sort of damage for servicing, but idk. I’m trying my best not to let my mother notice it hahaha /cough

I’m thinking of getting touch up paint.

On the bright side…

Exams are almost over!!!!
